DuPont is a science development and applications company. Simply put, we put science to work solving problems in ways that make life better and safer. In recent years, our focus has broadened into emerging life science applications involving biopolymers, medical and healthcare technology, and many other products or technologies that enter into or affect living systems. Our Corporate Competencies related to Homeland Security and Defense applications literally encompass thousands of current, new, or emerging products and technologies, other than Information Technology. We provide unique value to Federal, State, and Local Government markets through scientific applications involving our vast R&D network and manufacturing capabilities, providing core competencies in areas cited in the previous slides.
