Thought Leadership

Members on the Thought Leadership Committee work to identify and address trends that confront the homeland security industry and develop long- and short- term strategic goals and initiatives to address them.  Building on these goals, the committee works to ensure that the private sector's expertise contributes to the homeland security discussions about prevention, preparedness and response.

The committee regularly meets and invites former DHS and congressional officials, and other experts to brief them on the critical issues that impact the relationship between the industry and government in the homeland security space.  For more information on the work of the committee, please contact Kristina Tanasichuk.

Chair:  Gerald Buckwalter, Vice President, Homeland Security, Northrop Grumman
Vice Chair: Dave Patterson, President, Optelecom

Programs

The Programs Committee develops and facilitates activities that further the short- and long-term strategic goals identified by the Thought Leadership Committee.  Through white papers, roundtables or events, the Programs Committee designs focused programs to move the industry toward an active, central role to contribute to the nation's "culture of preparedness."  For more information on the work of the committee, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
