Overview
Membership of the Council consists of the most well-known and experienced companies in the homeland security industry today. Their expertise and knowledge of a wide-range of relevant topics and technology provide invaluable resources and contacts to the Council. To support the overall mission of the Council, those withonly experienced names with vested interests in homeland security programs are selected for membership.
Expectations
Some of the tasks expected from Council members are:
- Engage the private sector to help DHS achieve its mission
- Network with senior business executives and encourage open discussion about issues impacting DHS
- Allow for information exchange and gain insight into DHS priorities through small group executive sessions
- Provide DHS with private sector perspective of industry best practices
